Russian Vocabulary — Русский Словарь

аптека — pharmacy; chemist's shop; drugstore

лекарство — drug, medicine, remedy (for)

лекарство от / против (+gén.) — medicine for
- головной боли — for a headache
- температуры — for a temperature
- тошноты — for nausea
- насморка — for a cold
  - насморк — cold (in the head); catarrh
  - схватить насморк — catch a cold
- боли в животе — for a stomach-ache
- кашля — for a cough
  - кашель (-м) — cough
  - у него (сильный) кашель — he has a (bad) cough

болеть — to be ill; ache, hurt

что у вас болит? — what's your trouble?
у меня болит нога — my foot hurts
у него болит голова — his head aches, he has a headache
у неё болит горло — she has a sore throat
у него болят глаза — he has sore eyes; (об острой боли) his eyes hurt
глаза болят от дыма — the smoke makes one's eyes smart
пусть у вас об этом голова не болит — don't let that bother you
